s204 : Finally Completed

s204: Interior (6) + others

When the seats and the carpets were ok, finally completed the steering wheel. To make it more realistic, leave the steering wheel molding line there, painted with flat black, and then drybrushing bright red to the molding line. Hope to represent the signature red stitches for S204 limited edition.

The reference of the S204 aftermarket wing should have the brake light, Scratch built it by using the transparent left over materials, cut, filed, sanded, painted and glued to the back of the wing.

Windows are also prepared and painted flat back at the inside

When everything had come to the finishing point, take a look at what had been done so far.

As everything was ready, it was time for final assembly and the minor touchups.

s204: Interior (5)

The carpet prepared previously are finally stuck to the floor of interior. Honestly, the initial measurements of the carpet are pretty sloppy.

I was pleasantly suprised by the outcome. There are only a few small trims and they all can flatly laid even on the curved surfaces.

s204: Tail Lights

Following the preparation of head lights, the tail lights are ready to be installed.

Found something strange about the colour of the respective lights...Check out the reference on the Internet and confirmed the s204 got all round lights not in red, anyway, go ahead and install them...

Fitting of the cover has some alignment issue. This is not a major problem which may be the thickness of the paint causes the cover cannot be good fit in the socket. Some sanding requires.

s204: Interior (3) & Body/Exhaust

Finished the trimming of carpets, and ready to put on the interior...

Prepared the head and tail lights, put it on see if things go well. Also, found some reference of installing the exhaust, see if it can be done in a more relistic way...
Took 2 brass rods, make holes on the exhaust pipe and the rear diffuser. The key point is putting those rods in the exhaust with a large glob of CA glue, which after painting, became the welding point of the support upon installation. Remember not to put toooo much as it would flow around and mess things up. Bit of weathering may make it look pretty real.

s204: body & brake

Finished painting and polishing the front spoiler, put it back to the body and check anything more needs to be done...

Looks good, but still the rims are cool but a bit too flat, dark and boring. Still thinking of making the rims in aluminium...

s204:內籠 Interior (2)

The blog has not been updated for a while but not the modeling...Continue with the interior of the s204...

Bought some of the arts stickers just like flockings, of course, the effect turns out may not be as real as the flockings as you cannot control the amount you spend...but turnout, ok lah...

At the same time, found the rims in the original "plastic chrome" is a bit boring. Recently tried to observe the cars in the streets and seems a lot of the tuned rims are dull/matt chrome with the rims in black...

Soaked the rims in bleach and make it glossy black. When putting back to the body, it seems a bit too dark, thinking of making the ring around the trim aluminium and turn the whole rim dull...
